Infoblox Openstack Adapter

Infoblox Openstack Adapter is the solution for automation of works in networked cloud environment.

Developing "cloud" products, IT services face a large number of "manual" transactions. Infoblox Openstack Adapter works in a close sheaf with the OpenStack platform, providing automatic selection of the IP addresses during creation of virtual machines, updating of the corresponding records DNS and DHCP, fast and effective management of network devices.

In case of removal of virtual machines, release of the IP address, updating of the records DNS and DHCP happens in the automatic mode.

For April 4, 2015 in a system are implemented:

• the single console of control automation by network services for "cloud", virtual and physical infrastructure - for several virtual platforms of different vendors

• high availability and increase in level of fault tolerance of network services, including DNS, DHCP, management of an address space of IPAM

• creation of so-called Smarts Folder on the basis of parameters (group, VLAN, network)

• support of the crossed address space.

Functionality

• selection of necessary resources within several minutes, automatic selection and release of the IP addresses
• fault finding process simplification, decrease in number of idle times of network and network services due to information display about a status of physical and virtual infrastructure in real time
• easy management of movement of virtual devices along with synchronization of critical services, as DNS, DHCP, management of an address space of IPAM.
