In Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University transition to the automated maintaining schedules of studies of university took place

In March, 2015 in Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University transition to the automated maintaining schedules of studies of university took place. The Galaktika system "The schedule of studies" is successfully brought into operation (Galaktika of RUZ). Now drawing up, control and monitoring of the schedule of all institutes of the university is executed by 40 users managers in the unified information system. Students and teachers got online access to the schedules, and the management of Polytechnic University had the innovation instrument of operational management of resources of educational institution.

SPbPU at the beginning of 2014 selected the solution of Galaktika corporation as the basic solution for automation of all educational activity of university.

The project on system implementation Galaktika "Schedule of studies" became one of key in university, and special attention of the management was riveted on it. The project consistently in two stages was executed.

The first stage (January – July, 2014):

• Training of staff of university by forces of department of an ACS of department of IIVT SPbPU
• Formation of requirements to completions of a system and implementation of these requirements
• Structuring and preparation of the normative reference information of university
• A lot of work on updating of information on classroom fund SPbPU
• Development of mechanisms of integration with systems which are available in university

The second stage (September, 2014 – March, 2015):

• Setup of a system, step-by-step commissioning
• Loading of necessary information for drawing up the schedule
• Pilot drawing up the schedule at one institute
• Drawing up schedule of a winter session of all university
• Drawing up the schedule on a spring semester on all faculties of university for students of full-time courses

In plans of 2015 – distribution of the automated control system for the schedule of studies on all forms of education and also DPO. Implementation of tasks of the publication of the schedule on mobile devices through a special application is planned.
