In the Kurgan region the geographic information system of monitoring of lands is upgraded

On April 13, 2015 it became known of the project of Datum Group Group on creation of a geographic information system of monitoring of agricultural grounds of the Kurgan region.

Project Tasks

The government of the region in 2014 made the decision - to make investments in creation of the platform which will facilitate work of staff of department of agriculture and will help to benefit from its use to agricultural producers.

Project Results

The system created by specialists DATUM Group allows to see all information on the interesting territory:

• to whom what field belongs,
• by what culture it is sowed,
• agrochemical status of soils,
• the number of the employees working for the agricultural producer, etc.

The state can easily determine a coma and what help in what time it is required by the available information.

The uniqueness of the project consists in system availability both the representative of department of agriculture, and to agricultural producers of the Kurgan region. At coordination of the actions with department, they can fill out data on the field independently that increases chances of the entrepreneurs and the organizations working in HSC of receiving privileges and subsidies. It always by the way for the industry depending in many respects on "mood of the nature".

Viewing territories using data of remote sensing – feature of the implemented project is available. In GIS, as a rule, of the cartography using achievements, in this case the feature for loading of pictures from space is added.

At the end of 2015 in the Kurgan region the geographic information system of monitoring of the agricultural land developed by DATUM Group is upgraded: thanks to the new module of registration of weather conditions specialists of department will be able to consider more objectively requests of farmers for issue of compensations.

According to the Russian legislation agricultural producers have the right to monetary compensations in case of loss of a harvest because of abnormal weather conditions. The summer heat causing the fires, an insufficient amount of precipitation for the full-fledged growth of cultures or, on the contrary, too abundant rains, - all this can become a reason for a help request from the state. However, it is quite difficult to establish an actual reason of loss of a harvest in all cases. The fire can arise also in favorable weather because of negligence of the farmer, and escapes can stop in growth because of low-quality or at the wrong time the introduced fertilizers. But if most of farmers of the region at this moment experienced difficulties because of weather whims, to reveal economic omissions of the specific farmer impracticablly.

The module added to a geographic information system of monitoring of farmlands of the Kurgan region will allow specialists of specialized department of agro-industrial complex to be insured from similar situations. It is the database about weather conditions of the region. Each area, since a spring sowing campaign, will fill out information on weather in the under control territory. Data from district meteorological stations will come to base daily. Thus, in department will have the most detailed and objective information about weather in the area: about an amount of precipitation and their type, about humidity, temperature, force and the direction of wind. This information will be considered by consideration of requests for receiving by agricultural producers of payments on compensation of damage from adverse conditions.
