EMC Horizon

Horizon is the multi-user platform transforming content management at the enterprise.

On May 14, 2015 EMC presented the solution in the field of content management - Horizon Project, platform and shop of applications, ready to use, on content management.

According to developers, the Horizon project will help IT heads and the enterprises to strengthen competitive advantages and to realize the potential of digital content for business. App store of the Horizon project supervises EMC and it will include applications and solutions created by both EMC, and partners. EMC announced the offer to customers within the Horizon draft of the freshest solutions Documentum Capital Projects Express and Documentum Life Sciences Solutions Suite.

Main project properties of Horizon

• Flexible basis for a cloud. The multi-user platform for creation of native cloud applicaions.

• Concept "bridge in the future". According to this concept, on the platform of the Horizon project the current solutions Documentum based on D2 and xCP will be placed that will help customers to continue transition to electronic document management, without refusing the usual interface and services of the platform. Within the Horizon project new solutions of Documentum Capital Projects Express and Documentum Life Sciences Solutions Suite 4.0 will be proposed .

• Modular architecture. The architecture based on microservices supporting approaches of DevOps and Agile is the basis for the Horizon project. Such architecture means continuous integration and deployments, thereby reducing implementation cycles which usually take several months or even years to several days or weeks. In each of these modules the ready application suitable for embedding during creation will be provided

complete solutions from modular functional units. For customers it will accelerate payback, will allow to use and pay only necessary components.

• Co-Innovation program. It is the new program of implementation of innovations which assumes involvement of the customer at all stages — from early stages of development before the accelerated visualization of prototypes. The feature of the program is that modules of the Horizon project are created as a result of close cooperation of partners and customers with specialists of EMC.
