Rostelecom created a virtual private network for city hospital No. 1 in Orsk

May 18, 2015. The Rostelecom company reported^[1] about provision of services on the organization of a virtual private network (Virtual Private Network, VPN) for city hospital No. 1 in Orsk of the Orenburg region.

Virtual secure channels integrated local networks of eight divisions of medical institution located in different parts of the city. The implemented project allowed city hospital to organize effective information exchange with clinics and hospitals of Orsk, government institutions and also accelerated service of citizens. Within the agreement the telecom operator will perform the round-the-clock condition monitoring of network and technical support of users.

"Stable data transmission via secure channels of communication is necessary for large medical institutions which locate considerable volumes of confidential information. VPN is just such universal technical solution fully meeting requirements of the customer regarding reliability and security", – the director of the Orenburg branch of Rostelecom company Dmitry Nikiforov emphasized.
