The System x3850 X5 server provides the highest performance and reliability, differing in low energy consumption and rather low cost. Has the highest scalability and flexibility, allowing to solve timely arising problems.

Modular construction of the server helps to adapt a system to current demands and to react quickly to their changes. Expansion from two - to a four-processor system is supported. It is possible to add the second system for creation of a 8-processor system. It is possible to begin with two modules of memory Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) and to increase their number up to 192 in a 2-nodal system with two expansion units of memory of MAX5. The server allows to redistribute resources in case of change of requirements. The x3850 X5 server meets current demands of the customer and also provides convenient and economic let for upgrade in the future. Some configurations of the x3850 X5 server enter a solution portfolio of Express Portfolio which meets the requirements of the small and medium enterprises. Simple models in management and the Express configuration differ in the different countries.
