The United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation entering into Rostec announced in May, 2015 start of the large-scale research project in the field of artificial intelligence and semantic analysis of data with participation more than 30 Russian companies, the educational and scientific organizations, TASS with reference to the director of the department of the innovative development of a MIC Alexander Kalinin reported.

Among project participants — Higher School of Economics, Computer center of RAS, the Research and test center of the biometric equipment of MSTU of Bauman, Scientific and technical society of oil industry workers and gas workers of Gubkin, the Pacific State University, the Yaroslavl state university, the Volgograd state technical university, the Central scientific research institute of economy, information science and management systems, the editorial offices of several federal media, some other the organizations, the state and private companies working in the field of information services, software development, power, law.

The Russian system of semantic analysis of data is based on the last achievements in the field of machine learning and technologies of Big Data. Such system is capable to solve without participation of the person the most serious analytical and applied problems in different fields of activity — in business, a state administration, security agencies, health care, education, science.

Main competitors of Russia in the field of creation of artificial intelligence at the state level — the USA and China, on corporate — Google, Facebook, Apple and Baidu which are on a substantial scale investing in similar projects. In the USA this direction are financed from budgets of DARPA, IARPA, In-Q-Tel and about 20 more specialized venture funds. In Russia such technologies only begin to develop, process of their creation gains steam.
