HP LeanFT

LeanFT is a product for automation of functional testing of the software in development process.

On June 3, 2015 HP announced the product HP LeanFT. With its help developers can quicker create, test and provide the protected and high-quality applications.

The solution will allow the organizations to bring quickly new products to the market, will provide high predictability and quality and will help to reduce the total costs within development.

In HP LeanFT the most important tools of a modern ecosystem Agile for application development are used, they help developers and testers to execute "left shift". HP LeanFT is the powerful, convenient and economic solution, for continuous testing and service of the application. It is easily integrated into the operating ecosystems (Microsoft TFS, Git and Subversion) and the frameworks supporting development with conducting testing (TDD) and taking into account behavior (BDD). Besides, LeanFT provides integration with the IDE development environment, helps to create automatic tests in the C# or Java languages.

Through joint efforts specialists from HP Software and HP Enterprise Services created the solution having properties:

• Fast output of a product to the market. LeanFT offers complex tool kit which simplifies development and service. For example, the center for object recognition (Object Identification Center) automatically creates the code and abstract models for the applications passing test.

• The predicted results. HP LeanFT provides project templates for standard architecture of modular testing, including NUnit, MSTest and JUnit. Thanks to these templates interaction of software developers and engineers of automatic testing is performed more productively. Developers can quicker test applications and also predict and find errors at an early stage of lifecycle of development.

• Low expenses. HP LeanFT is completely integrated into the widespread IDE development environments (for example, Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse) and provides for them the connected modules. Tests can be created in the IDE environments in the C# languages (in the Visual Studio) or Java (in Eclipse). It allows developers and testers to work in the general environments, using the same tools.

• Built-in system of security. HP LeanFT is delivered with the built-in system of HP of Application Defender which helps developers to find quickly vulnerabilities in software at early stages when change of the code does not involve unpleasant effects. By means of technology of accomplishment from HP Fortify for use of HP of Application Defender knowledge in the field of security therefore testing regarding vulnerabilities can be executed continuously and in real time is not required.

• Credible. Now the division of HP of Enterprise Services offers services of Testing and Quality Assurance Services for projects of LeanFT. These services will help the customers working in the Agile and DevOps environments to bring new applications to the market quicker, without excess costs and with the highest quality. Using services of HP of ES Testing and Assurance customers will have an opportunity to find and eliminate errors at a stage of management of an application development cycle. As a result, they will be able quicker to create high quality applications and to bring them to the market.

The solution is built in systems Application Lifecycle Management, Quality Center and Mobile Center that allows to cut down expenses on testing and development, to use shares and to create new mobile applications very quickly.
