Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager (EPN) is tools of management of network services.

On June 5, 2015 Cisco provided Evolved Programmable Network Manager (EPN) - tools of management of network services on the Cisco Evolved Services Platform (ESP) platform.

Cisco EPN Manager provides multilevel, multisegment management of Ethernet and NFV services, Wi-Fi-solutions of service providers.

It is the open, flexible, focused on applications network infrastructure complex which will allow service providers to accelerate income generation, reducing operating costs of deployment of cloud services.

The unified management system for network services Cisco Evolved Programmable Network (EPN) Manager represents a key component of the complete multilevel solution Cisco for management of lifecycle of network services. The functionality of design, configuring, execution, implementable Cisco EPN Manager during the work as a part of Cisco WAN Automation Engine, helps to optimize management in real time.

Today the management systems for network services created for physical network elements rely on a set of the separate systems which are characterized by the high level of complexity and requiring expensive manual configuring. It slows down implementation of new services (as a result instead of several minutes it takes several hours) and seriously complicates search and elimination of failures for numerous network services.

Cisco EPN Manager accelerates transition to a programmable network architecture on a basis SDN and NFV as a part of which physical and virtual elements by means of use of the unique model focused approach and clear split of content, the platform and devices.

Development of EPN Manager covering a set of network services, including package optical transport, carrier Ethernet, operator Wi-Fi and also DPC services was conducted taking into account future requirements of service providers to automation and maneuverability. The initial version works with a segment optical and Ethernet-services. Implementation of additional opportunities is planned in the subsequent versions of a system.

As a part of a user interface of EPN Manager dynamic maps with three-dimensional and multilevel trace of services enter, they increase quality of the overview and accelerate fault detection. At the same time, reduction of terms of recovery improves quality of perception by users.
