The MIGUP Ryazan branch transferred to "cloud" the accounting system on the 1C Platform

On June 9, 2015 the Cloud Assistant company announced transfer of servers 1C of Higher Professional Education Non-State Educational Institution branch "Moscow institute of public administration and the right" in the Ryazan region on the Oblakoteki platform.

Initially 1C bases were stored on the personal computer in office of the MIGUP Ryazan branch. However the incident with breakdown of the PC which entailed data recovery of accounting in a month forced the management of institute to review a question of placement of 1C.

Project Progress

The Cloud Assistant company proposed the solution — to transfer 1C completely to "cloud" on the Oblakoteki platform. For this purpose Cloud Assistant deployed on cloud infrastructure server 1C and everything that is necessary for its work, then unloaded base from the old server and transferred to cloud.

At office left the server executing a role of file storage (on it "heavy" video files are stored) and a server role of authentication of users of the Active Directory allowing users to enter on local PCs even if the Internet channel to a cloud does not work. On this inexpensive local server important data are not stored, and its complete breakdown will not affect work of users in any way. The main domain controller and the protected file storage placed at capacities of Oblakoteka.

Project Results

The solution helped MIGUP Higher Professional Education Non-State Educational Institution branch with the Ryazan region to save on the equipment and creation of own server, to receive a reliable and convenient IT service of 1C. There was an opportunity to work with a system far off.

"After transfer of the most important servers in a cloud passed already more than half a year and though I am far from IT technologies, financial results and responses of employees, say that the decision is made correct — Igor Kupreenko, the director of Non-State Educational Institution of a Higher Professional Education "MIGUP" in the Ryazan region noted. — First, we excluded purchase costs of new servers. Secondly, work of 1C became stable and more productive — the accountant is happy since preparation of annual accounts took place much quicker, than earlier. Thirdly, we considerably saved on updating of several PCs in library — purchased inexpensive small-size computers for 10 thousand rubles, instead of normal PCs which cost nearly 20 thousand rubles now".

"The main objection of clients against placement of infrastructure in a cloud is a concern that work of employees at office will depend on quality of an Internet channel in a cloud — Pavel Senin, the CEO of Cloud Assistant company told. — However the level and availability of the Internet in recent years improved much, and it became much cheaper and simpler to reserve the Internet (to configure automatic balancing of the channel through additional provider or 4G-communication)".
