On June 10, 2015 it became known of implementation of a CAD of Flowvision in Severnaya Verf company.

The vessel, logistic support Elbrus which form of the body is created using FlowVision, 2012

High requirements to road performance and traction characteristics and also requirements to ice qualities significantly complicated a problem of development of contours in the set main measurings. The final contours meeting contradictory project requirements were created in many respects thanks to active use of CFD modeling during which eight different options of a form of the body were investigated. The body, quite satisfactory on hydrodynamic and ice qualities, with the cruiser contours of a stern and bulb nasal contours adapted for the movement in ices was as a result received.

At the subsequent stages of the project the large volume of numerical and experimental works was executed, including: pilot studies of popularity, seaworthiness and ice qualities, a numerical research of flow of a surface part of a hull with superstructures an air flow (a purge analog in the wind tunnel) for determination of operating conditions of the helicopter over the deck.

Researches showed correctness of the decisions made at design which provided to the vessel proper seaworthy and operational qualities.
