June 9, 2015. — The Xerox company transferred a considerable part of corporate communication to business social network Yammer. It was made in connection with expansion of the staff of corporation after result of the American IT company Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) as a result of which the number of employees achieved 140,000. The cloud service of Microsoft gave to collective ample opportunities for communication, exchange of the ideas, provided reliable storage and convenient information search from any devices and at any time.

The Xerox company of one of the first delivered printers in offices and houses of normal users and cardinally changed the mode of work with information. The corporation provides the latest technologies and services facilitating work of the clients worldwide also today. There was a need to change outdated methods of corporate interaction between colleagues, partners and consumers. The company paid the attention to Yammer — corporate social network which helps the staff of the enterprise to stay in touch with the necessary people, to communicate, vary settings of data access and it is more rational to organize work on projects.

Thanks to Yammer employees received the convenient tool for communication, information transfer and joint work: service is synchronized with Microsoft Office applications 365 that allows to share easily with colleagues the documents created with their help. Besides, Yammer does not need to be implemented specially: begin work with service only one person who will invite colleagues, as well as on any other social network can. At the same time the solution of Microsoft completely ensures safety of corporate data.

The cloud service of Microsoft significantly accelerated development process of a new product in Xerox: colleagues from different divisions can instantly exchange the ideas, views, results of researches now, to approve and implement projects quicker. If earlier the specialist of the company needed to wait for the answer from all concerned parties during the day, and even several, then now it is enough to it to publish the request on corporate social network and to begin full discussion of a question with experts directly. Especially it became important after acquisition of Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) company which increased the staff of Xerox twice – to 140,000 people. Yammer became the main vulgar for exchange of experience, formation of new corporate affairs, studying of business standards and the solution of a set of working questions among the staff of both organizations.

Yammer allowed Xerox to integrate the best ideas, outstanding talents and long-term experience for creation of new hi-tech products and multifunction solutions, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.
