History
The Vladimir water supply system is one of the oldest in Russia. Materials of GU "State Archive of the Vladimir Region" contain data on the history of construction and development of a water supply system in Vladimir.
For its construction of a water supply system in it was granted permission by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on December 19, 1861. Construction began on June 15, 1865: "Last Sunday the commission chairman about supply of Vladimir with water, the mayor A.A. Nikitin, informed residents on a water supply system device nachatiya.
1966: Creation of the company
Opening of a public water supply system in Vladimir took place on August 30, 1866. In the building of a water tower served a prayer. It was constructed: the water lifting stone building with services in which the steam-engine in 25 hp purchased and set by the engineer – the captain to A.E. Struva was located; the filter in a special well; at distance of 1 verst – a stone tower with the reservoir on 8,000 buckets; it is laid 750 pog. sazhen of water folding pig-iron pipes. For analysis of water the fountain in the downtown is arranged.
1920
In the 1920th years considerable capital investments for the maintenance of a water supply system were required. In 1924 to the city 115,000 buckets of water moved in day on average. The system of vodoprovodony trunks was strongly worn-out so .kak was not under repair during the whole decade. Due to the lack of the filter (filters were thrown out in 1919 when installing the new pump) the .voda moved to the city without cleaning. It created serious problems for residents of Vladimir.
1926-1927
In 1926-1927 the filter of the Dzhuel system was installed and the new station with a performance of 200,000 buckets a day is built.
1944
The water economy of Vladimir gained further development after 1944. At this time the industry began to develop. The needs for water supply sharply increased. To provide the city with water it was necessary to enter the second source of water supply.
1965-1975
In 1965 the complex of Nerlinsky water constructions with a performance of 50 thousand CBM was put into operation. waters in day, and in 1975 the second queue with an additional power of 63 thousand CBM. Water from the Nerl River after cleaning began to be pumped to the city.
Development of city infrastructures, large housing construction and development of the industry in 70-80 years demanded increase in capacities of water supply. For ensuring the increased requirements the Sudogodsky water intake, 56 thousand CBM was constructed and put into operation in 1994.
