BBDO Russia leased the office software, a working environment and technologies of corporate communications

On June 30, 2015 Microsoft announced implementation in IT infrastructure of BBDO Group of a system of corporate mail, increase in efficiency of business processes of the company and growth of technology mobility of her employees on the platform of solutions of vendor. The project is executed by forces of IT department of BBDO Group with assistance of General Computers company.

Project Progress

The rented communication solution is purchased by BBDO Group within project implementation of updating of corporate mail and the park of servers. With business growth the maximum size of the e-mail in 5 MB and a mailbox in 2 GB did not correspond to business requirements of the company.

Analyzing offers, the management of IT department came to a conclusion: the most suitable and less costly, reliable - use of service capacities and corporate mail according to the SaaS model (Software as a service), in other words - lease or "from a cloud". This approach helped the company to refuse purchase of servers for own data center, to increase mailbox volume for each employee by 25 times – to 50 GB, to ensure reliable functioning of corporate information infrastructure which provides processing in a cloud to 150 GB of daily traffic.

For employees "in fields" use of Office 365 made work much more effectively. Prior to use of cloud services, the limited group of people had a remote access to mail. Now such problem does not exist – at each specialist mail is synchronized on the smartphone, at a number of employees - on several personal devices. At the same time all security requirements are fulfilled: information exchange between a cloud and the device happens in encrypted form and is protected from interception, the technical means which are built in Office 365 allow to block an information access in case of loss or theft of the smartphone/tablet and far off to delete from it all business correspondence.

"Use of the software Office 365 and Azure on model of a subscription allowed us not only to save considerably on costs for communication and communications, having made them minimum and predictable, but also to achieve notable results in work performance improvement and also each employee and a command in general, – noted Alexander Boyko, the Chief information officer BBDO Group. – Now, wherever there was an employee – in office, at home, in cafe or in a business trip – it can always be connected to the solution of business challenges, the main thing that there was an Internet access".

Using Lync program capabilities as a part of a subscription to Office 365, the staff of BBDO Group holding had qualitatively new opportunities for communication with colleagues and clients in real time using instant messages, audio and video conferences. "OneDrive for business" provided service of storage of files.

Together with Office 365 the company began to use the services available in a public cloud of Microsoft Azure - the cloud version of the Active Directory.

Use of Azure service helped the company to exclude the possible failures in operation of the server or restriction connected with the volume and storage of correspondence. Service of a cloud service is round the clock executed by specialists of Microsoft.
