Smartec RFID ST-Prkh60mkh series readers

In Smartec product line for control and management systems for access there were ST-Prkh60mkh series RFID readers which execute recognition of codes of cards of the Mifare standard at a frequency of 13.56 MHz from distances to 10 cm. Each Mifare card reader of a new series is equipped with Wiegand the interface and can be used in multibrand control systems of access as steadily works with controllers not only the Smartec brands, but also other producers. Besides, these readers have the strong body from plastic with a class of heat/moisture protection IP65 and can work both in premises, and at the street at temperatures from-30 to +60 °C.

All new readers execute acceptance of codes at a frequency of 13.56 MHz, and "sure" identification of cards and tags of the Mifare standard is provided at distances from 50 to 100 mm. Such range allows to use any card reader of a new series in control and management systems for access of office buildings, warehouses, service premises of shops. Besides, ST-PRx60Mx can be applied not only to access restriction according to cards, but also to information transfer in a system of accounting of working time of personnel. At the same time as the management program it is recommended to use modular software of Timex.

The compatibility of new products with ACS controllers of different producers is implemented based on the unified Wiegand interface which has each reader of this series. Thanks to it, the card reader can be integrated into multibrand control systems of access easily. It should be noted that the Mifare standard applied in new products provides them rather high reliability of operation and resistance to logical cracking. Besides, unlike the similar devices using, for example, the iClass standard above new card readers have lower cost.

New readers of the Smartec trademark are expected work with RFID access cards of the Mifare standard and provide one - and/or two-factor identification, depending on model. So, ST-PR060MF and ST-PR160MF perform only acceptance of the code of the identifiers brought to them, and the ST-PR160MK card reader allows to use in addition a PIN code for identification of personnel as it is supplied with the dial keyboard. The two-factor identification according to the card and a PIN code implemented in ST-PR160MK increases security of access point as excludes pass according to someone else's map admission without knowledge of the identification code.

Fast and simple setup of the modes of identification ST-PR160MK is performed on site installations of the reader, proceeding from security requirements of the protected object. Thanks to existence of the 12-button membrane keyboard, this card reader can work in one of four modes of identification: only the card, only a PIN code, the card or a PIN code, the card and a PIN code which is selected by an access control system installer. For visualization of a status of ST-PR160EK, as well as reading out RFID cards of other devices of the ST-Prkh60mkh series light and sound indicators are built in their body.

Vlago-and the dustproof ST-PRx60Mx body corresponds to class IP65, ensures smooth operation of the reader in the conditions of dust, a rain, snow and other atmospheric precipitation, and has an attractive design. Besides, each card reader of this series steadily works in the temperature range from-30 to +60 °C at relative air humidity up to 95%. Such utilization properties in a compartment with the protected body give an opportunity to install these card readers not only in premises, but also on inputs to buildings from the street.
