On July 15, 2015 the Trinity company announced creation of virtual distributed system of data storage in the Moscow credit bank. Technology of implementation - the system of virtualization of IBM San Volume Controller (SVC).
Project Tasks
The amount of data storage of the Moscow Credit Bank (MCB) annually increases seven times. To meet requirements to a storage system and to create opportunities for permanent expansion, the Trinity company created the draft decision on the platform of a system of virtualization IBM San Volume Controller (SVC) which allows consolidation of tanks of disk storage systems in a uniform pool, expanding functionality and effective management.

Project Progress
Partners carried out updating of the SVC node on more productive, arrays of all-flash IBM FlashSystem (Flash System 840) are implemented and critical loadings are postponed for these arrays.
"Updating of IBM San Volume Controller using all-flash of arrays for optimization of performance of the most critical services provides almost boundless potential for further expansion of a storage system of Bank" — Anton Suvorov, the vice president of directorate of information technologies of the Moscow credit bank told.
At the first stage of the project a system consisted of four SVC nodes and more than 500 hard drives distributed between two data centers of MKB. In process of growth of business of bank a system was supplemented both with classical high-performance storage devices on railway, and all-flash devices, also the system of the automated multilevel information storage was applied.
"New IT infrastructure corresponds to high growth rates of business of the Moscow credit bank and has the high potential for further scaling by adding or upgrade of components, - Anton Utkin, the head of department of technical expertize of Trinity company said. - Besides, the solution of Trinity is distinguished by high fault tolerance – a system will ensure smooth operation of services of bank in an emergency situation, for example, in case of failure of one of data centers".
