Content

Project Objectives

Quality improvement, transparency and efficiency of management and financial statements for ensuring management of VTB Group with sufficient information for operational acceptance of management decisions.

Reduction of operating expenses at the expense of an exception of duplicative functions and reduction of manual data processing by standardization of reference books and ensuring single input of complete, consistent data.

Tasks

The main objective of a system is systematization of processes of collecting and information analysis, arriving from bank and the subsidiary financial companies (SFC) of VTB Group. Regarding providing the reporting for consolidation, the reporting of bank is considered as the reporting provided by one of DFK.

Subtasks

  • creation of uniform supervisory center of the arriving information on the fact of unloading of the report for the set date or about the fact of its absence;
  • creation of uniform supervisory center of quality of data at a loading stage;
  • automation of consolidation and aggregation of the obtained data;
  • creation of the unified interface of access to data retrieveds for analysts of bank.

Project Progress

For project implementation approach with creation of a prototype of a system based on which a productive system was developed was selected. This approach allowed to implement the project in extremely short terms. The project was broken into several stages with terms:

Stage 1 – 1 month

Stage 2 – 4 months

Stage 3 – 1 year and more

Result

  • the platform for information exchange on VTB Group is built;
  • uniform processes on collecting and preparation of the reporting in DFK are built;
  • data collection from 25 Subsidiary Financial Companies in a corporate information system is made. On a monthly basis 17 reports form, on a daily basis 3 reports form, on a quarterly basis 2 reports form;
  • collecting of IFRS of reports through a corporate information system is implemented;
  • monthly collection of information on P&L is implemented;
  • reengineering of reports on VTB Group is carried out (Stage 1).

The implemented functionality allowed bank to carry out on a centralized basis collection of information from subsidiary companies in the unified format with the subsequent consolidation.

Providing access of divisions of Group to uniform data source allowed to prepare the reporting for the different purposes using a uniform source.

At the expense of the description and approval of algorithms and method of calculation of indicators of business division equally understand an essence of data retrieveds.

In 2012 the translation of the reporting of Group was planned for periodic loading of detailed data regarding BI of a segment on a number of products, carrying out the next stage of reengineering of reports and a number of completions of the current system architecture.
