GS Group attracted Orange in the project of creation of infrastructure to the telecom operator

On July 21, 2015 the Orange Business Services company announced the beginning of the project of creation of telecommunication infrastructure of the telecom operator GlobalCom (as a part of GS Group) and the participation in it the project as the contractor.

Project Tasks

In 2013 in GS Group holding made the decision on creation of own telecom operator for ensuring needs of production and residential zones of a cluster Technopolice GS. The provider should provide on the basis of own infrastructure complex services to inhabitants and the enterprises of a cluster, to guarantee availability of necessary services to further development of Technopolice GS. At the beginning of 2014 GlobalCom obtained a necessary set of licenses for rendering telecommunication services, in January, 2015 start in operation of the communication hub in the Kaliningrad region took place.

For the organization of infrastructure of the new operator the GS Group holding addressed Orange Business Services service provider. It is supposed that the solutions developed and implemented by Orange will help the operator to provide modern communication services to subscribers of a private innovation cluster Technopolice GS in the city Gusev of the Kaliningrad region.

Project Progress

As the prime vendor of the equipment for equipment of the communication hub of GlobalCom operator the Cisco company is selected.

The created central node of communication is expected service up to 4.5 thousand subscribers. Potential of the deployed solution will allow to satisfy GlobalCom of a customer need throughout a progressive tense, gradually increasing infrastructure. The allowed time of idle time of the solution should not exceed 1.5 hours a year.
