VideoXpert is a scalable system in which using plug-ins it is possible to include in addition control systems of access and automation, the security and fire systems and also video analytical software modules. VideoXpert provides watching live and archive video and also use of an event system, tags and tabs. This functionality is available also to users of the Pelco systems of last generation (Endura and Digital Sentry) as VideoXpert allows to carry out upgrade of the devices existing on an object and to expand functionality of a security system. Moreover, all these functions are available also in new mobile application of Pelco Mobile. Updating of a system of this year also includes new cartography, modules of face recognition, numbers and other types of analytics.

2015

In a product line of the Pelco by Schneider Electric brand in the summer of 2015 there was flexibly scalable VideoXpert VMS complex for creation and management through the uniform center of several geographically distributed video surveillance systems integrating unlimited number of IP cameras, video recorders, etc. Depending on specifics of an object, a VMS system can be delivered in the form of a hardware-software complex based on the Pelco servers or is exclusive as the software product. Using VideoXpert™ it is possible to conduct IP video surveillance with functions of processing, record and watching video, video analytics and a thermography. Besides, VideoXpert™ has an open architecture, a flexible license policy, free mobile applications of Pelco Mobile and the Web management portal.

In VideoXpert support of videowalls with 6 monitors serviced by one workstation is implemented, at the same time directly only 1 monitor of video surveillance is connected to the station, and video output to the others 5 the independent CPU processor manages. Taking into account that on each of six monitors about 16 video flows of Full HD resolution can be displayed as much as possible, operators can conduct IP video surveillance on 96 channels at the same time, freely switching between "live" and archive video and moving "windows" between monitors. At the same time, VideoXpert is capable to work in the Investigation mode mode (investigation) when the video fragments containing scenes of incident are synchronously output to the videowall and are exported to Core for their preserving or quick access on LAN/WAN to networks.

The modular structure of VideoXpert allows "collect" the system of IP video surveillance, easily scalable, functional and steady against failures, without restrictions on number of sources of video, jobs of operators and volume of archive. Its Basic Element is Core core providing configuring, setup and centralized operation with the video system, routing of traffic, database maintenance of IP cameras, video recorders, etc. Perform IP video surveillance, watch current/archive video from cameras and the Ops Center software application for workstations allows to use tools for investigation of incidents. For distribution of video flows in a system the Media Gateway (MG) complex, and "is responsible" for record and storage of video and also access to archive video records — Storage Manager (VSM).

VideoXpert allows to create one - or multiserver solutions — Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate intended for the systems of IP video surveillance of different scale and complexity. So, the version of Professional is recommended for small objects and represents a system "all in one" with one server on which Core and Media Gateway are already set. The multicomponent version of Enterprise, as well as Ultimate, allows to organize IP video surveillance on especially important and large objects with thousands of cameras and the separate Core and MG servers. At this Ultimate can integrate independently working geographically distributed video systems with management via one interface. As an example, It should be noted that the solutions Ultimate and Enterprise will be effective for the systems "Safe City", for airport terminals, the enterprises, sporting venues, etc.

Creation of capacious and failsafe storages of video and data in video surveillance systems of VideoXpert is performed based on Storage Manager hardware-software complexes, for example, of E1-VSM-SVR-36 and U1-VSM-SVR-48 with a capacity of 36 and 48 TB, respectively. At this VideoXpert allows to create the storage pools including up to 6 servers with support of the balancer of loading between servers in a cluster (Load Balancer). Due to grouping of servers the high level of reservation and resistance to failures therefore failure of one/several components of a system will not interrupt the current IP video surveillance and work of a complex in general is reached. At the same time, the Core server can serve as storage for video with the special status, for example, connected with the incidents written on it or on standard means of a video.

VideoXpert can serve as the uniform command center of an end-to-end system of security of an object integrating IP video surveillance, access control and life support systems to which integration modern IP technologies, including API and SDK are applied. Besides, VideoXpert gives opportunities for expansion of functionality of the Ops Center application using different plug-ins. So, for example, the plug-in of Mapping allows the operator to create the card of an object with arrangement of surveillance cameras on it quickly to find them if necessary. In turn, the plug-in of PlateSmart provides recognition of car numbers, and eConnect gives an opportunity to impose the text or graphic information on a video series.

The flexibility of licensing of VideoXpert allows to optimize purchase costs of software applications and hardware of video surveillance. For example, upon purchase of servers of the Pelco brand the customer receives their program component absolutely free of charge, and at acquisition of the software without "iron" of the license for the modules Core, Media Gateway and Storage Manager are purchased separately. Besides, the producer gives a gradation opportunity from software of Pelco Endura and Digital Sentry on the VideoXpert VMS platform, saving the existing infrastructure and complementing IP video surveillance with new functionality. As a bonus upon purchase of VideoXpert the Ops Center and Pelco Mobile applications are provided for mobile devices and also Admin Portal Administration web interface.
