Free economic zone of Klaipeda

The free economic zone of Klaipeda is founded in the 2002nd.

For 2015 in the territory of 412 hectares, in fact representing technopark, 28 companies work. The resident companies are engaged in industrial production of electronics, biodiesel fuel, plastic, metal wares, receiving the electric power from renewable sources, etc.

In the territory of SEZ considerable tax benefits work: residents are exempted from payment of income tax the first 6 years, there is no road tax and the real estate duty, the zero rate of the VAT works. In total from the moment of the basis till 2015 more than 500 million euros^[1] were invested in SEZ].
