The administration of the Vladimir region will organize broadband access to the Internet in the region

On July 30, 2015 ensuring access to the Internet of citizens and the organizations, complex development of information society in the territory of the region became known of agreement signature about interaction between administration of the Vladimir region and Rostelecom company which provides creation of the uniform information communication network (UICN), ^[1].

Project Tasks

The project is implemented within the Information Society program and covers almost all industries and fields of activity of civil community. It is supposed that its result will become:

• increase in transparency and controllability,
• stabilization and competitiveness of economy of the region.

Information technology development directly influences ensuring steady growth of economic capacity of the Vladimir region, increase in the standard of living of the population.

Implementation of the contract will help to ensure functioning and interaction of the operating and future end-to-end regional information systems used for providing the public and municipal services in electronic form.

In plans of partners - to integrate all regional state information resources by means of EIKS, making available to inhabitants of state service in electronic form in the field of:

• medicine,
• educations,
• HOUSING AND PUBLIC UTILITIES,
• security,
• cultures.

Within construction of EIKS in the area, Rostelecom should lay more than 2 thousand km of fiber lines of communication, they will integrate 1190 state institutions, providing sales opportunity of drafts of the state program on creation of information society.

EIKS will connect state institutions of villages, areas and the regional center - more than 550 localities of the Vladimir region. Secure channels of communication will provide capacity to 10 Mbps. According to the agreement, in 2016 the network will include 127 administrations of municipal entities of the region, 325 objects of health sector (medical and obstetrical centers), 432 organizations of education, 306 libraries.
