Content

On August 10, 2015 it became known of implementation in the company THOMAS MÜNZ ERP- systems on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012[1].

Project Tasks

In process of development of THOMAS MÜNZ network, the management system for merchandising and retail on the 1C Platform ceased to conform to the growing requirements of business. Automation of difficult and responsible business processes — planning and distribution of goods by shops which were conducted before manually in Excel, formation of the qualitative analytical reporting was required. Upgrade of the Central Information System allowed the company to increase the level of management of merchandising, to optimize business processes, to achieve relevance of data and efficiency of their processing, to quickly prepare the management reporting.

The company felt need for the powerful IT platform for providing the high level of business management — capable to keep development, both productive capacities, and functionality. Estimating the ERP systems presented at the market, the company management made a choice for benefit of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.

For implementation selected CORUS Consulting integrator: during the tender among the leading integrators consultants showed deep understanding of retail business processes and also provided the strongest project team. According to company management, it also played a crucial role — having estimated experience and competence of specific specialists which will work on the project, representatives of the tender commission did not have doubts in the choice of the partner.

Project Progress

During the first stage of the project - in August, 2014, it was going to automate a complete circuit of merchandising — assortment management, sales, purchases, pricing. Further, full automation of the cash block on Microsoft Dynamics AX for POS and also the financial circuit including budgeting, treasury and broadcasting in IFRS was assumed.

Specialists of the contractor carried out the analysis of business processes of the company based on which they formulated, created the project, approved schemes and the principles of work of future system. By the end of 2014 the customer received technical specifications on system implementation and a task for development of additional functionality.

However, changes in an economic environment introduced amendments in the project course therefore the management of THOMAS MÜNZ made the decision on further system implementation by forces of own specialists. For gain of an internal project team invited additional consultants and developers who for August 10, 2015 continue system implementation. Start of Microsoft Dynamics AX regarding merchandising is planned for fall of 2015.

The management of THOMAS MÜNZ noted importance of the main work — setting of processes and logic of future system, it is complete together with Corus Consulting. Now the project team of the retailer independently transfers to the system of setup and develops additional functionality, periodically attracting Corus Consulting to consultations.
