Komos Group upgraded a core of corporate network

On August 13, 2015 AF ICL-KPO company announced project completion of upgrade of a core of network in  KOMOS GROUP LLC. The updated network of the enterprise is created on the platform of the equipment Cisco.

Project Tasks

To provide high efficiency of the company,  KOMOS GROUP LLC implemented an information system on the Microsoft Dynamics Axapta platform which integrated the enterprises of holding. At the same time there was a need for providing system availability for mode 24х7 as smooth operation of the divisions of the company selling finished goods which considerable part - perishable products depends on it.

For the solution of an assigned task, in addition to acquisition of computing resources, the management of holding made the decision on upgrade of the operating corporate network of the enterprise, with installation in the center of pair of high-performance switches of a core of network in the failsafe mode. After study and the analysis of the solutions presented at the market, a choice was made for benefit of switches of a core of Cisco Catalyst network of series 6500.

Project Progress

Specialists of AF ICL-KPO company in short terms created a new core of network, placed access switches on all floors of the building, integrated them optical communication links and connected with the operating network. Within the project the perimeter of network of the enterprise is reorganized – all its components are duplicated. The packet of project and operational documentation is developed and transferred to the customer.

"Thanks to harmonious interaction of all project participants, creation of new network took only a few days. It was promoted by big preparatory work and that fact that a part of works was carried out at night, to days off and holidays", - Sergey Malkov, the lead engineer of department of information technologies  of KOMOS GROUP LLC told.

Project Results

"Since implementation of the new equipment since the beginning of 2012 it was not revealed any failure and, as a result, idle time of users of an information system because of unavailability of server resources. Implementation of this project allows more than 300 users of the company to work in an information system online and also to increase data transfer rate several times", - Leonid Nechayev, the head of information technology  of KOMOS GROUP LLC noted.
