Jaguar Land Rover in Russia joined in "cloud" IT structure

On August 7, 2015 it became known of agreement signature between cloud provider Cloud4Y and Jaguar Land Rover Russia company within which successive carry of local solutions of the client in a cloud is organized.

Project Progress

The solution represents the virtual servers organized on the platform of the equipment of the enterprise level:

• blade servers IBM and NEC,
• storage system of Netapp,
• virtualization of VMware.

Analyzing use of resources and client's software, specialists of provider detected requirement in:

• cloud automatic telephone exchange,
• reliable hosting with a clustering,
• secure channels of communication
• cloud 1C.

The contractor carried out transition from operation of own server to cloud infrastructure and tested in non-working days - employees and clients of the customer did not feel inconveniences.

Project Results

"The reasons for which we decided to transfer the infrastructure to a cloud there was a need of reduction of investment costs (purchase of own servers, the software, licenses, etc.) for benefit of operating expenses. And also transfer of local resources in more reliable cloud system" - Philip Skripkin, the manager of IT department of Jaguar Land Rover Russia said.

Change in IT structure ensure to the staff of the company functioning with corporate data, being outside office, with Internet access, using the different IT equipment: personal computers, notebooks and mobile devices. All services and data of the customer are placed in one of the Moscow data centers with TIER 3 security level. The DPC has the certificate according to the Uptime Institute standards.
