Solution

According to the results of the project in salons "Car Center Snow Leopard" the TerraLink company installed the integrated system of complex security TerraID with multiple-factor identification (on a fingerprint and a smart card). System implementation allowed to raise the security level and protection of material values of the company. Besides, automation of a time recording provided reduction of operating expenses and errors when calculating a salary payment.

Implementation premises

Diversification of business of the company provides, first of all, the analysis of the current business processes for identification strong and weaknesses of the organization. With respect thereto the company management had a need of job evaluation of each direction which had to consider features and different operating conditions of separate departments and structures. For example, daily work of a large number of staff of car centers assumes active movement both in office, and between them. In the course of assessment of internal business processes the company faced the following problems:

• Complexity of accounting of working time and, respectively, salary payment to employees with traveling kind of work;
• Complexity of determination of location at office of an individual employee in real time;
• Complexity of operational management of access rights of employees in office premises.

As a result, the task of the organization of a control system of access to premises of motor shows was set for technical specialists of the company.

Solution selection terms

When choosing the suitable solution the company was guided, first of all, by functionality and reliability of a system and also experience and reputation of the supplier. Besides, a distributed architecture solutions, centralized operation and data storage and also use of the existing infrastructure of motor shows and minimizing of finishing works at implementation were required.

Project Implementation

For the solution of an assigned task the TerraLink company which proposed the solution on the basis of own software - the integrated system of complex security TerraID was invited.

ISKB TerraID supports management of the access levels, user rights and an interaction logic of devices, exercises centralized operation and data storage, and the specialized module of an expanded time recording allows to keep a time recording of employees with the flexible working schedule, considering movements of employees both in office, and between motor shows.

Providing access to premises of motor shows is performed on fingerprints - to the identifier which is difficult for forging or losing.

Data transmission from readers is performed in real time using the TCP/IP protocol that saved Car Center Snow Leopard company from need of expansion of the SCS system and to carrying out extra finishing works.

Data on changes of the staff of the company are automatically transferred from a corporate system of the customer to the ACS server through the Active Directory.

The hardware of a system is made by street vandal proof dactyloscopic Suprema BioEntry W IP readers of which operation the unique algorithm of fingerprint recognition is the cornerstone. This intellectual algorithm is certified by NIST MINEX and also received many awards on international contest of FVC (Fingerprint Verification Competition).

Entering of a standard of a fingerprint into a system and setup of access rights happens in a workplace of the HR specialist.

Feature of Suprema BioEntry W is support of smart cards 13.56 MHz of Mifare/DesFire that expands possibilities of identification: in case of need for identification it is possible to use a fingerprint and the access card in a combination and separately from each other.

Project Features

Within the project the biometric readers Suprema for the first time work as controllers that allows:

• optimize the hardware of a system and reduce costs;
• add users at the same time to all IP readers of a system;
• carry out online condition monitoring of readers

Result

The integrated system of complex security TerraID is built in business processes of the company and successfully functions as a biometric control system of access and a time recording in two salons "Car Center Snow Leopard" in the North and the southwest of Moscow.
