The Minusinsk museum of N.M. Martyanov purchased the scanner of ELARSKAN A2

On August 20, 2015 ELAR corporation announced supply of equipment for scientific library of the Minusinsk regional museum of local lore of N.M. Martyanov.

The scientific library of the Minusinsk regional museum of local lore of N.M. Martyanov is going to transfer funds to an electronic form that will allow to expand access for readers to editions, saving originals.

Collections of unique books, including from a personal collection of the founder of the museum - N.M. Martyanova, ecclesiastical writing, editions on the history of Siberia - only 133 thousand printing and hand-written editions are stored in funds of scientific library of the museum.

"First of all the fund of the rare book and a collection of the periodical press will be digitized. Now it includes 417 printing and hand-written editions, including from private libraries: the founder of the museum is N.M. Martyanov, gold industry entrepreneurs, patrons G.P. Safyanov (Minusinsk) and I.M. Sibiryakov (Irkutsk). Collections are created: "Editions of times of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), "Editions of the Minusinsk printing houses", etc. the Fund of the rare book is in a formation stage. The newspaper fund contains about 4 thousand annual filings, including copies of unique Siberian periodicals which are not in other libraries. These are the filings of "The Yenisei provincial sheets" dated for 1857-1893, the Minusinsk newspapers of N of the 20th century. Editions require especially care therefore digitization should be made by a contactless method on a professional equipment. The scan images will be connected with bibliographic records in the automated library SNOW LEOPARD system and will become available in our reading room. Besides, separate fragments of the digitized editions will be uploaded to the website of the Minusinsk museum of N.M. For digitization of library stock the planetary scanner of ELARSKAN A2-400 excluding risk of physical damage of originals or their flare will be used. The firm ware will allow to perform hands-off processing of graphic images in the course of scanning – alignment, increase in clearness, removal of distortions, optical "garbage", noise and spots, masking of fingers of the operator.
