Rostelecom organized a single information network for Service of blood of the Oryol region

Rostelecom completed in the fall of 2015 the project on construction of a single information network for Service of blood of the Oryol region in the cities of Mtsensk and Livny, thereby having integrated structural divisions of the Oryol blood transfusion station. It lays the foundation for creation of the single database for implementation, connected with security of donor blood and its components.

"In accordance with the terms the public contract Rostelecom performed a number of works: supply of equipment in the Mtsensk and Livensky branches of the Oryol blood transfusion station, its installation, setup of computer and network equipment with a licensed software, connection to the general information network. All this allowed to ensure smooth operation of a system and information exchange in network even in the conditions of the maximum loads", - the director of the Oryol branch "Rostelecom" Yury Soldatenkov noted.

"Blood donors – the only source of life for millions of seriously ill people and also victims in different accidents and accidents. For this reason development of mass donorship in Russia and preserving of volumes of the prepared blood and its components so important, - Irina Mikheyeva, the chief physician of the Oryol blood transfusion station notes. - From here also our main objectives follow for today: quality assurance and safety of production of components of blood, risk reduction at their clinical use. I am convinced that the new system and a data network organized by Rostelecom considerably will facilitate their accomplishment and will help us even more quickly and more qualitatively to perform our daily work".

This project is implemented within federal actions for development of Service of blood. Its purpose is creation of uniform hierarchical information space for all blood transfusion stations in Russia, automation of all technology processes on procurement, use, quality control and security of donor blood and its components. A lot of things within implementation of this project are already constructed, and uniform information networks of Service of blood of the Oryol region – the next step on the way to the purpose.
