As the VKS system in administration of the Komi Republic is arranged

The system of a video conferencing of the Komi Republic is intended for operational holding meetings of executive authorities and local government authorities, distance learning of the public, municipal servants and the population, online of broadcasts of opening of envelopes when holding procurement procedures.

According to the acting head of Committee of informatization and communication of the Komi Republic Boris Tulchinsky, since January, 2015 more than 300 sessions of a video conferencing with the municipal Entities of Komi Republic, public authorities of the republic, federal public authorities are held already. "Taking into account the huge extent of the territory of the region and difficulties with transport connection between municipal entities, the VKS system not only accelerates and simplifies joint work of authorities, but also allows budgets of different level to save on traveling expenses", - B. Tulchinsky emphasized.

30 executive authorities, 20 administrations of municipal entities, the Syktyvkar state university of Pitirim Sorokin, representation of the Komi Republic in Moscow and St. Petersburg, National library of the Komi Republic are already connected to a system. Expansion of a coverage of VKS is in the long term planned. In plans creation negotiation in educational institutions, libraries, treatment and prevention facilities and also creation of a prototype of VKS of own development on the basis of components of domestic production.

"A system was brought into commercial operation in August, 2014. On its deployment 3 months were required. The video server allows to connect to video conference at the same time up to 80 users. Users can be at any distance from each other", - B. Tulchinsky added.

In July, 2015 the system of a video conferencing of the Komi Republic was also shown at the international IT forum with participation of the countries of BRICS and SCO in Khanty-Mansiysk. Active promotion of models of substitution of foreign technologies the Russian IT developments became one of priority problems of the VII International IT forum.

The regulations of use of a system of a video conferencing of the Komi Republic are approved by the government decree of the Komi Republic of November 10, 2014 No. 438 "About a single system of a video conferencing of the Komi Republic".
