What is "the electronic university"

Specialists LANITH DV completed in the fall of 2015 design of systems for a ten-storied information scientific and educational complex based on the Sea state university of the admiral G.I. Nevelsky. The approximate area of the object, including 242 premises, is 17,400 sq.m. Design was conducted in several stages and included development of all life support systems.

Specialists LANITH DV developed project solutions of architectural and decorative illumination of facades; lightning protection and grounding; systems of telephone, television and conference communication; local computer network, network of a radiofikation and loudspeaker communication; control and management systems for access, video surveillance, dispatching control and control of elevators; security fire warning, systems of gas and automatic fire fighting. Also diesel power station was designed, the structured dispatching system and other technological solutions is developed.

The project provided also creation of a common information space Electronic university. In the future it should provide to students access to occupations and training materials in any place at any time and also to answer all criteria of physical and information security. Similar models of the electronic universities are successfully implemented in a row educational institutions of the world: Luisvillya university (Kentucky, USA), European university of Madrid (Spain), Independent school district of Ket (Katy Independent School District, KISD, Texas, USA).

Pustovoyt Roman, head of department of the telecommunication and media systems LANITH DV: "We should have developed convergent network infrastructure which has the high level of performance and fault tolerance and which can be scaled and developed. It was required to create not just flexible system, but also to integrate a pool of the universal computing resources intended for the solution of a broad spectrum of problems of the library information systems (IS) into network infrastructure. Application of the concept of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and architecture of UCS (Unified Computing System) of Cisco Systems company allowed to implement most effectively these tasks".

Quickly Alexey, technical director LANITH DV: "Having done serious work, we created scientific and education center with electronic directories, RFID tags, library cards in the form of mifair-cards, reading rooms with Wi-Fi Internet access and with the jobs equipped with modern ADP equipment. In the new building computer classes with modern sea exercise machines (the program for training of sea specialists), more than ten line audiences up to 180 seats are provided in everyone, the conference hall of the academic council with a congress system, own printing house with the specialized equipment, a data processing center. Here the IC (managements of library activity and educational process, Enterprise resource planning, the CRM system), a power supply system, lighting, complex scheduling of the engineering systems enter".

Vitaly Hovanets, the assistant to the rector on informatization, the director of the department of informatization of the Sea state university of atm. G.I. Nevelsky: "It is impossible to revaluate value of informatization of education. The project of creation of a modern information scientific and educational complex at our university allows to bring quality of training to new level. I am sure that the created complex will become modern library information center of Primorsky Krai and will strengthen leader positions of sea education".
