Who builds a corporate data network of Ural Carriage-Building Plant

Since 2009 Rostelecom and Ural Carriage-Building Plant implement the telecommunication project on creation of a corporate data network for divisions of corporation. At the first stage the network integrated the corporate center of Ural Carriage-Building Plant in Moscow with six enterprises of corporation in the territory of Sverdlovsk region – in Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Tagil. At the second stage which began in 2011 seven enterprises of corporation located outside Sverdlovsk region – in Altai Krai, Bashkortostan, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, St. Petersburg and Chelyabinsk were connected to a corporate data network. Today 18 enterprises of Ural Carriage-Building Plant in the territory of Russia are already connected to network.

The corporate data network created for Ural Carriage-Building Plant differs in the increased parameters of reliability and confidential information protection necessary taking into account specifics of work of corporation. The network solves several tasks, important for the enterprise, at once. First, gives the chance to hold remote meetings between production sites in the video conferencing mode. Secondly, provides functioning of an electronic document management system and an opportunity for work with single databases. The third task is an ensuring work of corporate telephone communication and other telecom services.

In 2015 Rostelecom implements connection to a corporate data network of several more production sites of Ural Carriage-Building Plant, expands a range of the provided services and increases data transfer rates for ensuring uniform production process of corporation.

The memorandum signed in September, 2015 between Rostelecom and Ural Carriage-Building Plant is aimed at the development and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation. In the document, in particular, it is mentioned that the parties consider each other as the key partner in development of the direction of the industrial Internet, to collecting and processing of technology and other data, transfer of the best international practices and technologies in the field of industrial automation.

Ural Carriage-Building Plant heads the integrated structure integrating about 40 industrial enterprises, research institutes and design offices in Russia and Europe, – the chief executive of JSC Ural Carriage-Building Plant Scientific and Production Corporation Vladimir Roshchupkin told. – Therefore it is so important to have the reliable and secure channels of communication creating a common information space for our corporation. We consider Rostelecom as the strategic telecommunication partner who renders a range of services on the organization of communication, transfer and data processing, consulting for ensuring effective work of production sites of the enterprise".
