Alpha Inform implemented the IP telephony in the Government of Sverdlovsk region

Project Progress

At the time of the beginning of the project in each executive body of the government (EBG) of Sverdlovsk region different automatic telephone exchanges worked. At the same time the staff of the different ministries and departments had no opportunity directly and free of charge to phone with each other. Centralized operation by telephony was also absent. It caused need for own technical support of telephony for each department, and, respectively, heavy expenses on it. For optimization of communications and expenses on telephone communication transition to a single system of the IP telephony was required.

After successful test operation of the solution all city lines were brought to IP ATC Oktell with a unified number plan. Further integration of Oktell with a system of accounting of users of the Active Directory was performed. Thanks to it each new employee of this or that department along with the Active Directory joins in a single telephone system and gets personal phone number.

Following features are implemented:

• Autotune of a workplace of the user of Oktell by data from the Active Directory. At connection in network of the new telephone set it does not need setup. The new employee just turns on IP phone, and it is completely ready to work. Data from the Active Directory are automatically loaded in Oktell.
• Acceptance and sending the fax by e-mail. For sending the fax the user has enough to write the message in which to specify the maintenance of the fax and the addressee on the general box now. Oktell accepts all letters from this mailbox and sends faxes on the necessary numbers automatically. Also sends the entering Oktell faxes to addressees by mail.
• An opportunity to create audio conferences for all heads. Well to 3 different methods of the organization of audio conferences.

Result

The solution simplified and accelerated communications and also considerably (up to 60%) reduced communication expenses and technical support. Now staff of bodies of executive power can call directly and free of charge each other on two-digit (in the department) or five-digit (in other department) to numbers. Besides, centralized operation by telephony of all executive bodies of the government, including, regarding budget management became possible.

It was succeeded to integrate in uniform communication space of 2422 employees of the public and municipal authorities and also to considerably cut down communication expenses, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.
