2015: Construction plans of joint DPC of Almaz Capital and I-Teco
On September 21, 2015 it became known of construction of joint data center by I-Teco group and Almaz Capital Partners investment fund. On this platform cloud services of the supported Almaz of startups which for work in Russia need to follow the law on prohibition of storage and data processing of citizens of the country abroad will be placed among other things.
According to the Kommersant created by Almaz and I-Teco a data processing center is issued as Data-center Sk LLC which 51% belong to IT holding, 25% — Almaz Capital of Edvayzors LLC, and the remained 24% — to the managing partner of Almaz Alexander Galitsky.
According to him, the data center will provide cloud SaaS service, including from Almaz Capital Partners portfolio companies. By September 21, 2015 project implementation did not begin yet, it is only discussed that it is connected with difficult economic country situation and increase in expenses on the foreign equipment.
The source of the edition estimates the cost of construction of a data processing center at 2.2 billion rubles taking into account costs for the engineering equipment and leading of the electric power at construction terms about three years. At the cost of lease of a rack in $ 2 thousand and stable inflow of clients the data center could pay off within three-six years, however in conditions when operators fix dollar exchange rate on pre-crisis values, such prices cannot be guaranteed therefore perspectives of payback of the project are ambiguous, the interlocutor of the newspaper noted.[1]
