Infoblox NIOS

NIOS - OS, a firmware for network devices (physical and virtual) Infoblox companies.

On September 21, 2015 the Infoblox company announced release of release of NIOS 7.2.0 OS. The version of a firmware added functionality, having mentioned all functional units of the Trinzic DDI complex and the Network Automation complex.

NIOS 7.2

With NIOS 7.2 exit the Infoblox company offered the market a product for integration of complex DDI with cloud services of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Technologies offer:

• creation of universal complexes of management of DNS, DHCP, IPAM for multi-vendor cloud platforms and also tradionnny networks, for the purpose of simplification of data management by services
• fast deployment of the "hybrid" cloud systems due to wide use of the automation equipment

automation of audit of a "hybrid" cloud (automated Discovery, visibility and complince audit)

A number of changes is entered and the functionality is added:

Core DDI

• Identity Mapping - exclusive to Infoblox - provides information on users of the Active Directory and imports these data to the IPAM database that in turn provides a unique data set within a single system of management of DNS, DHCP, IPAM services
• Grid Scaling — enhanced capabilities on scaling of our solutions - parameters are almost doubled

Security

• DHCP - a series of the protected DNS (a PT series of devices) support DHCP service (earlier only DNS)
• DNS Firewall, Reporting is expanded data and new formats of reports for more effective analysis of events of information security, including information on users of AD, thanks to new functionality of Identity Mapping (see above)
• the mechanism of protection against some (the most widespread types of the attacks to DNS) which is built in OS that considerably increases security of Infoblox DNS

Telecom operators

• for telecom operators based on devices of operator class IB-4030 2 modes (2 "engines") of work of DNS for more effective work of the DNS complex and protection of DNS against the attacks and different vulnerabilities are offered at choice
• new schemes of licensing for more effective and flexible planning of required performance of the DNS complexes

Reporting Server

• the preset reports for more detailed and convenient data analysis, including using information on users of AD (Identity Mapping)

Complex of control of the network devices Network Automation and new version of a firmware of NetMRI 7.0

NetMRI 7.0 offers opportunities:

• more than 100 new models of network devices of different producers were added to a complex of management

reliability, security and performance both for distributed system, and for a separate system are improved

• integration with LDAP, dynamic management of roles of users of a system
• the improved grouping and device management using so-called "attributes" (extensible attributes)
• the mechanism of change tracking of configurations configured by the user, additional "filters"
