On September 21, 2015 the CORUS Consulting group announced project completion on automation of budget management on the Oracle Hyperion Planning platform by request of Alphabet of Taste.
Project Tasks
Business development and volatility of steel markets a basis for making decision on expansion of systems capabilities of budgeting in Alphabet of Taste company.
In 2011 CORUS Consulting Group executed for Alphabet of Taste the project on automation of budget management as a result of which the reliability and quality of planned data increased, the labor input of planning process and carrying out the scenario analysis is reduced.

In this project the problem of completion of methodology of budget management, increase in detailing of data of model, improvement of tools of the analysis and modeling for assessment of effects of management decisions, decrease in labor input, terms of process of preparation of financial plans and the management reporting is designated. Having studied relevant requirements of the customer, specialists of the contractor came to a conclusion about need of installation of the new technical platform for the solution of the standing tasks.
As the platform for system implementation the solution for the integrated business planning, budgeting and forecasting of Oracle Hyperion Planning is selected.
Project Progress
In the course of project implementation the model of budget planning is considerably expanded. By means of Oracle Hyperion Planning there were blocks of operating budgets which did not undergo automation, united in the uniform interconnected budget model of the company earlier. Detailing of planning is improved and transition from simple planning of a financial result to resource planning by means of model of drivers and standards is executed:
- raw materials,
- personnel,
- areas,
- vehicles, etc.
Features of the implemented solution:
- automation of monthly process of formation of the updated plan on the basis of the loaded actual data for last period and planned data on a future period,
- an opportunity to create planned and report forms in consolidated and taking into account elimination of intra group turnovers a type,
- calculation of technical and economic indicators of development in the horizon up to 25 years.
Project Results
