Pony Express, 2014
Initially information exchange is organized by system means of MS SQL and own developments. However at such approach the company faced a number of problems. It and high requirements to communication channels which in regions are often difficult for implementing, and the distributed and beloved logic of implementation of rules of data exchange. For the company also external integration with information systems of partners has huge value. For quality improvement of integration into Pony Express the decision on implementation of an integration bus is made.
In selection process different ESB products – as the developed leading vendors (IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Software AG, TIBCO) and constructed based on open - source - technologies (Mule ESB, UltraESB, NServiceBus, MassTransit, WSO2 ESB, Open ESB, ServiceMix) were considered. The choice was stopped on the solution TIBCO.
Project implementation was charged by EPAM companies.
Project Progress
Within the project specialists of EPAM developed and implemented architecture of synchronization of the distributed data. Focus of the project was directed to problems of interfilial exchange. In the course of Pony Express cargo delivery quite often there is a situation when work with one sending in several regions, and in each of them parameters of the order can change. The approach implemented by EPAM allowed to check the data entered in different databases on the same delivery and to automatically resolve the arising conflicts. As a result, complete and consistent information about each delivery is always available.
Design and development of architecture of synchronization of data and the subsequent implementation of an integration bus took several months. A framework of the project included training of specialists of Pony Express and transfer of examination to them on operation and development of solutions on TIBCO ESB. For September 23, 2015 all branches Pony Express are connected to internal information exchange through TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks, there is a gradual improvement of interfilial information streams.
Main directions of works:
- intersystem integration in the central office
