The St. Petersburg state economic university (SPBGEU) — a higher educational institution of St. Petersburg. It is created on August 1, 2012 as a result of consolidation of Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance (FINEKA), the St. Petersburg state engineering and economic university (INZHEKONA) and St. Petersburg State University of service and economy (SPBGUSE).

History

2019: The agreement on preparation and advanced training of specialists for Siemens in Russia

On March 22, 2019 it became known that Siemens company in Russia and the St. Petersburg state economic university (SPBGEU) signed the Agreement on cooperation. The signatures under the document were delivered the rector SPBEGU by Igor Maksimtsev and the President of Siemens in Russia Alexander Liberov.

The parties intend to interact in the field of preparation, retraining and advanced training of specialists. Cooperation assumes the organization of lectures, rates and also adaptation of the existing educational programs of university for training of professional employees for needs of Siemens and its enterprises during an era of digital transformation. Special attention will be paid to joint scientific activity, including, in the field of the analysis and modeling of economic processes, efficiency evaluation of investment projects and a problem of revenue management.

The president of Siemens company in Russia Alexander Liberov noted that digitalization and implementation of the concept "the Industry 4.0" will become one of the main calls of future economy. She will mention all branches of the economy: from the industry to power. With respect thereto it is important to be engaged in training of competitive specialists taking into account requirements of the innovative companies.
