History

1947: Creation of the company

1947 - the first entry in the inundated book and the book of orders since May 3, 1947. the 1947th year. Here also the history of lyceum begins. Time was difficult, post-war. The country was in great need in working hands, in school was recruited by an appeal and mobilization. Entry in the Charter demonstrates to it. For work on transport from remote villages, from different regions of the country 120 people were mobilized. They studied profession of the fireman of the engine. To the dining room went for 4 kilometers. After classes took a bag in hand and went to the forest to collect a nettle, and then bore to the dining room and waited when make for them soup. Not many maintained the difficulties which fell to lot of the first. In a year the contingent made 270 people. To train pupils of steel in construction specialties. All pupils lived in the hostel of the Kosovan garden.

1956

Since 1956 the school is transferred to the building on Komsomolskaya St. 20a. It originally was two-storeyed, and in a year the 3rd floor was built, the lobby of the 1st floor and the dining room is attached.

1957

In 1957 the school was called – construction school No. 33.

1959

Since 1959 – construction school No. 33.

1963

1963 - changed number and a profile of school. It became railway GPTU No. 68.

1973

1973 - railway GPTU No. 68 became technical school (TU No. 68). In the beginning trained only conductors of cars. The contingent made 120 people.

1981

Since 1981 9 floor hostel are put in operation. For lifetime of school produced more than 15 thousand skilled workers for the enterprises of carriage section and locomotive depot of the station Chelyabinsk of the Southern Ural railroad and for other enterprises.

1997

1997 - the school became professional lyceum.

1998

On July 22, 1998 there was consolidation of lyceum to PU No. 65, and from this point lyceum No. 68 is placed in 4 buildings, the main academic building is on Sulimov Street 67. The total quantity of pupils made 935 people.

2008

On January 31, 2008 in the history of Public Educational Institution of Secondary Vocational Education (SSUZ) of "The Chelyabinsk professional college" there was a significant event - a grand opening of the resource center of the Railway transport profile. At opening there were a Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Isaak Iosifovich Kalina, the Minister of Education and Science of Chelyabinsk region Vladimir Vitalyevich Sadyrin, representatives of the Southern Ural railroad, directors of regional educational institutions.

May 22, 2008 - Professional lyceum No. 68 is transferred to the status of Public Educational Institution of Secondary Vocational Education (SSUZ) "Chelyabinsk professional college". The basis is the government decree of Chelyabinsk region of 5/22/2008 No. 143-P "About reorganization of regional public institutions of primary professional education". The experience gained for these years helped staff of college not to become puzzled with new social and economic conditions, and opposite, it is rather easy to adapt to them.
