"Hotel technologies" were selected by ABBYY PassportReader

September 29, 2015. Hotel Technologies company ("1C: Hotel") ABBYY PassportReader SDK for automation of process of input of passport data selected from the system.

Goals and Objectives

Clients of the company faced the need to accelerate process of input of passport data for reduction of time of settling of guests and increase in their loyalty. Earlier the staff of service of acceptance and placement of hotels had to process manually on average 100 passports of citizens of Russia and the CIS countries a day. It took away a significant amount of temporary and human resources.

Choosing a Solution

Automation of this process required implementation simple, but at the same time the hi-tech and reliable software. Therefore the Hotel Technologies company selected ABBYY PassportReader SDK – the tools of the developer allowing to automate data processing from identity documents. Using a product it is possible to process originals and photocopies of passports of the different countries. It gives the chance to considerably reduce time for settling of guests and to reduce quantity of errors at data entry.

ABBYY PassportReader SDK allows to distinguish and take necessary information from passports of the different countries. Among key advantages there are solutions of ABBYY: high speed of recognition of passport data and a possibility of preserving of photos in the card of the guest and also compatibility with any types of scanners. Besides, the solution allows to save supplies for printers and the MFP. Now it is not required to print questionnaires, all data are entered into an information system and stored in electronic form.

It should be noted that fast settling along with quality of service, comfortable rooms and location of hotel leaves a pleasant impression at guests and considerably increases their loyalty. During settling it is important as fast as possible and it is correct to process all necessary documents, to quickly transfer all data to the system of hotel that visitors had not to wait, and they could fully enjoy rest.

Implementation of technology of ABBYY allowed clients of the company to accelerate twice settling of guests in hotels. Now use "1C: The hotel" allows the staff of hotels not to spend time for introduction of these passports manually, and to be engaged in acceptance of incoming calls and to pay even more attention to clients.
