GE Brilliant Factory

GE Brilliant Factory is the project integrating possibilities of the environment of creation of the industrial IoT applications on the PTC ThingWorx platform and lines of the production software of GE.

On September 30, 2015 the companies GE also PTC announced formation of strategic alliance for Brilliant Factory project implementation.

Interaction in the environment of GE Brilliant Factory (2015)

Flexible dashboards and powerful tools of data analysis will be a part of the specialized industrial solution: connection to the different systems (from production workshop to a resource management system of the enterprise, ERP), optimization of a dashboard which type will depend on the role defined for the user by means of drag and drop opportunities management will become the most comfortable and intuitive.

Plans of alliance

• PTC also GE will submit the offer for the industry under a brand GE in which possibilities of the environment of creation of industrial applications IoT on the platform PTC ThingWorx and lines of the production software are integrated GE
• the companies will integrate the resources in the field of sales and marketing for joint development of opportunities of the digital production systems realized in single solution worldwide
• the joint solution accelerating project implementation of GE Brilliant Factory is already used on several production sites of GE company. Further it will be implemented at all enterprises GE worldwide
• the PTC ThingWorx platform will become a part of an ecosystem of Predix (a cloud platform of GE for the industrial Internet)

The companies GE PTC will also integrate the resources in the field of sales and marketing, for joint promotion of a new solution under a brand GE worldwide. As GE is one of the world's largest production companies, it will implement the solution GE-PTC at own manufacturing enterprises within the Brilliant Factory project.

Use of PTC ThingWorx technologies as a part of the GE portfolio for production opens ample opportunities of optimization of production and functionality:

• dashboards for production processes with access, on the basis of roles, the key performance indicators (KPI) allowing to trace in real time;
• the standardized KPI model for all production sites interacting with a diverse system landscape of the enterprise;
• joint work, warnings, notifications and access to up-to-date data for adoption of more weighed solutions.
