Fiber optic Siemon "Plug and Play" cable system
Siemon began with fall of 2013 release of versions with small losses for the cable systems and the modules "Plug and Play" which were earlier offered only in versions with standard losses. These new products expanding the range of fiber cable systems are developed to help managers of DPC to resist to permanent reduction of admissions of optical losses in the fiber systems and also for support of the numerous integrated pairs for the 10-, 40-and 100-gigabit flexible systems.
The new fiber systems "Plugs and Plays" with small losses are offered on coils and the extenders Siemon MTP®-MTP, LC-MTP, the modules "Plug and Play" SC-MTP and trunks of LC-MTP. Thanks to application of multimode fiber optic XGLO® OM3 and OM4 systems of Siemon company they improve the entered losses to no more than 0.20 dB for the integrated MTP pairs and 0.15 dB for the integrated LC or SC pairs that is much lower than the industry standard making 0.75 dB for the integrated pairs. Now the modules Siemon "Plug and Play" with small losses of MTP-LC or SC provide the combined losses 0.35 dB and 0.20 dB for plates for end-to-end MTP-MTP adapters.
"Because the systems of data processing centers pass from the speed of 10 gigabits to 40 and 100 gigabits, the budget of optical losses of fiber optic channels are narrowed, more than ever earlier, – Charlie Maynard, the fiber optic products manager of Siemon company says. – At the same time managers of DPC look for possibilities of simplification of the architecture when preserving controllability and flexibility of fiber channels. Often for this purpose it is necessary to use the numerous integrated pairs in the channel to support the convenient zones of switching allowing to move, expand and change easier systems.
As the budget of optical losses is a subject of special concern in modern conditions of data processing centers, the fiber Plug and Play systems with small losses of Siemon company can provide to managers of DPC reserved on losses which they need for complete peace of mind and flexibility at implementation of the latest high-speed systems", – Maynard concludes.
Using technology of crimp connections of a premium class and the advanced production capabilities of Siemon company in combination with the improved optical characteristics of the MTP connector, the new systems "Plugs and Plays" with small losses provide easier transition to speed of 40 and 100 gigabits. They provide new flexible options of switching with the broad range of range and configurations of infrastructure and also real opportunities of "Plug and Play" without restrictions on exceeding of the budget of optical losses.
These systems with small losses which are released in several configurations and with the different number of ports, fixed and tested industrially are suitable for any fiber optic equipment Siemon and also for the vertical Zero-U patch panels in VersaPOD® cabinets for DPC. Each module and a plate of the Plug and Play adapter has the fixer opening one finger for access in the conditions of the high density of switching. Besides, the precision centering sleeves from dioksidtsirkoniyevy ceramics are delivered in a basic equipment in all fiber optic Siemon adapters for providing the optimum characteristics exceeding properties metal or the plastic centering sleeves.
