On October 5, 2015 the Dassault Systèmes company announced expansion of use of platform 3DExperience in Ashok Leyland company. An upgrade project objective - acceleration of processes of modular design, check of working capacity, assembly and configuration management at release of trucks and buses.

Project Tasks

Ashok Leyland aimed to strengthen quality control and to accelerate process of delivery of trucks and buses. The company needed the efficient solution for cost management and effective work with a product portfolio as the company expands the range of the products for satisfaction of the changing market demands.

The company Ashok Leyland used the platform Dassault Systèmes 3DExperience for data management earlier and addressed industry solutions "Modular Glocal and Secure" and "Target Zero Defect" as to the powerful tools for joint work, the virtual analysis and modeling promoting the innovative development of vehicles.

"Modular Glocal and Secure" helps to accelerate implementation of global modular programs for production of vehicles and promotes accomplishment of strategic requirements in this or that region. With product introduction the customer has an opportunity to plan and develop programs for release of vehicles with protection of intellectual property, since creation of high-level architecture with support of concepts of modularity and opportunities of configuring.

The industry solution of "Target Zero Defect" guarantees implementation of the conceived project of the vehicle from the first attempt due to optimization of complex design processes thanks to which engineers of Ashok Leyland have an opportunity of effective partner interaction and suppliers in online to the environment for joint creation of products.
