Soyuzbazalt Union of the enterprises of the basalt industry

The main objective of Soyuzbazalt is consolidation of players of the market of the basalt industry, involvement of representatives of public authorities and also foreign partners and investors for the joint solution of industry tasks and ensuring the maximum growth of the domestic market of composites on the basis of the continuous basalt fiber (CBF).

The modern world market of artificial fibers makes about 20 million tons per year, but the share of the enterprises for production (NBV) in this market is extremely small - about 15 thousand tons per year.

While NBV have the broadest spectrum of application - from construction technologies, an avia - and automotive industry, energy and electronic industry, petrochemical and metallurgical industry to cryogenic and medical spheres - small amounts of their production do not give the grounds to the leading consumers to consider basalt fibers as the main material for creation of composites.

Earlier production of NBV restrained imperfection of technologies - it was much simpler to produce fiber glass, for example, which on the characteristics and cost value of raw materials is practically not able to compete with basalt fiber. But modern developments and technologies quite allow to unroll objects of industrial power, considering wide circulation of initial raw materials.

As the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov noted, - 'Our purpose according to the program of development of the composite industry - to increase the domestic market of composites at least by 10 times. The innovation pilot projects on purpose will be financed "open" the most important markets consumers of products from composites: construction, reconstruction of all types of transport infrastructure, housing and public utilities, radio technician, power industry, mechanical engineering, etc. It is extremely important to develop for development of the industry till 2016 about 480 standards'.

For active development of the domestic market of NBV it is necessary to improve legislative and technical regulatory bases at all levels that is impossible without active participation of those who somehow are related to processes of extraction of basalt raw materials, development of technologies, productions of NBV and its application in the most various spheres.

For this purpose Bazaltovye proyekty Ltd was initiated creation of the non-commercial consolidation 'Soyuzbazalt' which registration took place in July, 2015. Participants of the Union will be able to perform jointly influence on formation of the regulatory base and the industry policy of the state, industry standards of activity and rules of fair competition and partnership. Admission to membership of consolidation continues.

Basalt

Basalt — the main effusive rock of a normal series, the most widespread of all kaynotipny breeds.

Paleotypal analogs of basalt are diabase and basalt porphyrite. Intrusive analogs of basalt are gabbros, a gabbro-nority, Narita, a troktolita.

Basalt is used as raw materials for crushed stone, by productions of basalt fiber (for production of heat and sound insulating materials), stone casting and acidproof powder and also as filler for concrete.

Basalt is very steady against atmospheric action and therefore it is often used for exterior finish of buildings and for production of the sculptures set in the open air.
