Content

On October 14, 2015 the Avaya company announced project implementation on creation of a geographically distributed communication network of the Siberian generation company. On the platform of the solutions Avaya Aura proposed by Avaya the single telecommunication network is organized.

Project Tasks

For solving of tasks of SGK designated the purposes of creation of a single corporate telecommunication network:

  • providing a reliable and effective communication between divisions of the company;
  • cost reduction on telephone communication due to reduction of number of direct phone numbers;
  • unification and normalization of VoIP-connection under the SIP protocol for the equipment of different producers;
  • replacement of obsolete telecommunication equipment on objects;
  • optimization of the communication system due to implementation of intellectual routing, the centralized monitoring and control.

After the analysis of the solutions available in the market, as the contractor for upgrade of the communication system solutions of Avaya company are selected. A choice for benefit of Avaya is made because of presence at the company of the convergent solution Aura allowing to place different types of drop-side and trunk interfaces in a universal media gateway and to turn on the equipment of other producers in the operating network.

Project Progress

Works are carried out at the same time in all regions of presence of SGK. Specialists of Avaya took active part in design of telecommunication architecture together with the general contractor and the general designer.

The proposed technological solutions allowed to organize a single network over the existing automatic telephone exchanges on the platform of a SIP core Avaya Aura. Centralization of communication services provided seamless routing of calls between offices and formed a basis for providing to subscribers of network of the additional services increasing efficiency.

Project Results

The created corporate network has a full range of multimedia functions, including transfer of faxes, audio-and video conferences, "mobility" of subscribers and voice mail. High reliability is provided due to active local and geographical reservation of basic elements of a system. A combination of technologies traditional and VoIP-telephony give the chance of the choice of optimal operators for connection with city, long-distance and international networks in each direction. The centralized administration and monitoring of all components of a system reduced operating costs that in combination with reduction of number of direct phone numbers allowed to reduce total communication costs by 30%. Unification of the equipment and solutions considerably simplified and reduced the price of further scaling of a system.
