Choice of the winner

In March, 2016 Sberbank summed up the results of an open competition on delivery of the x86 server hardware of architecture[1].

Sberbank buys servers for central office and territorial subdivisions

The winner defined Marvis company with the offer of servers of Lenovo. The price as a result of biddings fell by 6.5 times. The starting price of lot was $2.88 million (194.7 million rubles at the rate of currencies for March 31), and in the protocol it is specified that with the winner the general agreement according to which the total cost of products/works should not exceed $446.19 thousand should be signed. The agreement is expected two-year term.

In addition to Marvis Huawei Technical company with servers of Huawei was also allowed to participation in tender. In total 6 applications were submitted for the first lot: in addition to the mentioned companies, wanted to participate in tender "Open Kompyyuter Solyushnz", Aquarius PC, Landis, Niagara Computers.

Sberbank needs to deliver 8kh-socket servers mounted in a rack with redundant components of hot swap. Servers should have 8 Intel Xeon processors E7-8880v3, 4 TB OZU, 8 hard drives on 600 GB with a possibility of hot swap. Servers, deliverable at Sberbank, should be certified on compatibility with Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows Server 2012 R2, VMWare vSphere 5.5 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

Sberbank announced competition on delivery of servers of x86 of architecture on October 29, 2015. Initially in tender there was not one, but five lots, the cumulative initial amount of purchase on all lots made $129.9 million or 8.14 billion rubles (at the rate of the Central Bank for October 30, 2015).

Carrying out tender was broken into 2 stages. On the first which originally had to take place till February 12, 2016, and was transferred later, passed test of the equipment and qualification selection (only on Lota No. 1). At the second stage - biddings.

Applications for different lots were submitted by 13 companies. Among them - Marvis, "Didzhital Mashins Company", "Open Kompyyuter Solyushnz", Depo Electronics, USP Compulink, Aquarius PC, Jet Infosystems, Landis, Niagara Computers, "IBS Examination", Cisco Solutions, Huawei Technical company and Asteros.

At the beginning of March, 2016 Sberbank refused carrying out tender on four of five lots. As the reason of canceling of an auction the changed requirements are called. The meeting at which such decision was made took place on March 9, 2016, the protocol is approved on March 14, 2016.

The starting price of lot No. 1 on which nevertheless it was decided to carry out purchase from the moment of the declaration of tender in October, 2015 decreased from $3.2 million to $2.88 million.
