Municipal libraries of Moscow area are equipped with the equipment for digitization of funds

October 30, 2015. The ELAR corporation announced delivery of the planetary scanner of ELARSKAN of A2 to Intersettlement central library of the Chekhovian area.

The equipment of ELARSKAN A2 is distinguished by high performance, and the device of the scanner excludes risk of physical damage of originals and their flare. The Russian software of "Skanimidzh" which is built in the scanner allows to process automatically at digitization graphic images: align images, delete optical "garbage", mask fingers of the operator, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.

"On ELARSKAN A2 we are going to scan books of rare fund, - the director of MBUK "Intersettlement Central Library of the Chekhovian Municipal District" Vera Petrovna Kiryukhina tells, - and also documents of local history fund which contains 3000 units of storage. Besides, bound file of the local newspaper "Chekhovsky Vestnik" which is issued since 1954 will be transferred to an electronic form".

According to the expert of ELAR in work with cultural institutions Alexander Efanov, "development of the scanner, release of component parts and assembly of the equipment are performed on production sites of ELAR corporation that improves conditions of purchase of modern scanning devices. Thanks to it in the last two years the positive trend of equipment of libraries of the Moscow region, began to be observed by the equipment for independent digitization of funds. Many libraries of Moscow area contain rare local history editions which without fail should be translated in an electronic format. So, ELARSKAN of A2 was set in Intersettlement central district library of the Shchyolkovo district, and the Municipal library of the Left bank in Dubna purchased Planskan A2B".
