2017: Start of services of VSaaS for budgetary institutions

"Moscow City Telephone Network" announced on October 3, 2017 start of service of cloud video surveillance for budgetary institutions of the educational sphere, medicine, transport and other state services.

MGTS provides service in service model (VSaaS/Video Surveillance as a Service) which allows the organizations to save on purchase, installation, service of the expensive IT equipment and to store all information from video cameras in a cloud.

As noted, the complex VSaaS-solution based on the high-speed GPON data network considers modern requirements of budget organizations and includes:

• safe watching video from cameras on the protected HTTPS protocol in allocated channel;
• the different access levels for employees protected the authorization certified by a system using data encryption;
• video flow of HD or Full of HD quality;
• the round-the-clock information access in the mode of "real time" and to a cloud videoarchive from any device on the website of MGTS and in free mobile application of MGTS.CCTV;
• broadcast of a video flow in the Uniform center of storage and data processing of the city of Moscow.

More than a half of budgetary institutions of Moscow already passed to our communication services and Internet access, and we hope that cloud video surveillance from MGTS based on modern network GPON will allow budgetary institutions to use the advanced quality standards of service and security and also in a complex with other solutions will create conditions for technology transformation of their infrastructure — the director of the department of sales and support of the state projects of MGTS Kirill Kolesnichenko said.

As of October 3, 2017, MGTS offers different rates which cost includes lease of the video camera, router, GPON channel:

• video flow of one HD video camera without archive — 1500 rub/month;
• video flow with a videoarchive to seven/fourteen days — 1650 rub/month / 1750 rub/month;
• video flow of Full of the HD video camera and broadcast of data in ETsHD of the city of Moscow — 2373 rub/month.

2016: Start of event video analytics

Thanks to the boxed solution which is not demanding from the client of purchase of the expensive equipment, the affordable price and 24/7 service support, the service in the shortest possible time became demanded among Muscovites. Service is popular with parents, people with elderly relatives and hired house personnel and those who use video surveillance as the additional instrument of control of security of the house. For the end of November, 2016 more than 2.5% of broadband access subscribers of MGTS used video surveillance and other "smart" services of the company.

In November PJSC Moscow City Telephone Network announced start of function of event video analytics which does video surveillance service in real time to receive notifications on events in the house. Service will be especially useful to parents, families with elderly relatives and hired house personnel and also as the additional instrument of monitoring of security of the house.

Control of events is activated in a personal account then the camera registers movements in sight of the camera or sounds indoors. Marks about an event go online to the user to a personal account, mobile application of MGTS.MyCam or to e-mail. Now for viewing events it is enough to user to open the list of notifications, to select the interesting episode and to browse it in a videoarchive.

"In 2015 we offered video surveillance to mass market as an element of the concept of the smart home. At solution development we relied on ease of use, price availability and service support from our 24/7 party. Today we see the growing interest of our clients in new services and we hope that due to expansion of functionality of services, including, start of video analytics, we will increase penetration of "smart" services into a subscriber base of broadband access. In the long term 5-7 years will use them about 20% of subscribers of broadband access base of MGTS", – the director for marketing and business development of MGTS Dmitry Kulakovsky noted.

The functionality is provided to all users of service free of charge and does not require installation of the additional hardware.

2015: Start of services of VSaaS for corporate users

In the fall of 2015 of PJSC Moscow City Telephone Network, one of operators of local wire communication in Europe entering into Group of MTS announced the beginning of provision of services of cloud video surveillance (VSaaS - Video Surveillance as a Service) for corporate users on the basis of high-speed optical connection to GPON network. Use of VSaaS-solutions allows business clients of MGTS to have the round-the-clock access to online viewing and a videoarchive from the computer, the smartphone and the tablet and to completely control security, discipline and level of service at the enterprises.

Work of service is constructed on transfer of a video flow from the IP camera on a cloud platform of video surveillance of MGTS where record can be stored from 7 to 45 days depending on needs of the client. Data transmission happens on the protected SSL protocol in allocated channel that provides confidentiality of information. It is possible to browse videos from surveillance cameras on mobile devices with operating systems iOS and Android, having loaded on them free applications from AppStore and GooglePlay. Control of service is exercised through the Personal account of the user password-protected. Besides, entrepreneurs will be able to manage access to a system, granting to the employees the different rights to viewing cameras.

During creation of a system of cloud video surveillance from MGTS clients save on design and purchase of the equipment for storage and processing of video flows. Video surveillance can be organized as on the cameras purchased or rented at MGTS (IP video cameras with permission of HD), and on own analog cameras of the client. The minimum implementation cost of VSaaS is once from 1000 rubles for one camera if it is rented, or from 7,000 rubles – upon purchase of the modern IP video camera of high resolution (HD). Except price advantages, video surveillance on the basis of VSaaS differs in efficiency of commissioning – it is possible to set and connect an equipment set from MGTS in several minutes.

2014: Start of a system of intellectual video surveillance

JSC Moscow City Telephone Network announced in April, 2014 start of a system of intellectual video surveillance - the new direction of business which will allow clients of the company to solve a broad spectrum of tasks: from increasing the level of security of an object before efficiency analysis of marketing actions.

MGTS created the Center of intellectual video surveillance based on which the project, largest in Russia, on collecting, the analysis and use of video data will be implemented. Investments into opening of the center and pilot zones will make 30 million rubles until the end of 2014.

The system of the video analysis was tested in several districts of Moscow where MGTS mounted 300 cameras using which automatic monitoring of quality of work of housing and public utilities is performed. In the nearest future MGTS will open five test zones which will show system effectiveness of video surveillance and analytics in segments of corporate and state customers and also a b2c segment. For this purpose MGTS is going to install 8000 video cameras in addition. In the third quarter 2014 the solutions fulfilled in pilot zones will be output in commercial operation.

The analytical platform of the Center of intellectual video surveillance of MGTS will be able instantly to process the huge arrays of information arriving from different sources. Data from cameras and results of their intellectual processing will be transferred on high-speed network GPON to the situational center of the customer for the analysis and further use. All video data will be stored in one of the data processing centers (DPC) of Group of MTS. A system has flexible opportunities for scaling (from local solution to projects for the city) and to implementation of any kinds of the video analysis (from detection and tracking of the movement of different objects, their classification and identification, before recognition and automatic response to emergency situations).

Projects of video surveillance of MGTS

The company services more than 47,000 cameras located in parks, schools, house adjoining territories and places of mass accumulation of people of four districts of Moscow according to the Safe City program. Use of a data network on GPON technology allows to guarantee reliability of observation system on all indicators set by the Government of Moscow.
