2015: Announcement of BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition
On November 17, 2015 in Russia official sales of the smartphone, the first for local market, on the Ubuntu operating system started. Innovation to our country was brought by the Spanish brand of BQ.
Since November 17, 2015, in the Russian Federation it is possible to purchase the BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition smartphone equipped with the 5-inch IPS display with the resolution of 1280 x 720 points, the quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with clock rate of 1.3 GHz and the graphic module ARM Mali 400MP2, 13-megapixel main and 5-megapixel cameras, 1 Gbyte of operational and 16 Gbytes of a fixed memory.
The physical sizes of a product are 142 x 71 x 8.65 mm, weight — 134 grams. Besides, the device received two slots for SIM cards, the rechargeable battery with a capacity of 2500 mAh, I will corrode for the replaceable drives microSD, the built-in adapters of wireless communication Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.
The device works under control of the Russified version of the Ubuntu Touch operating system into which support of domestic services, including VKontakte, "Yandex", Mail.Ru and Kinopoisk is integrated.

It is in many respects similar to BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition and 8 Gbytes the built-in a flash memory and 8-megapixel main camera differ in the reduced screen (on 4.5 inches with the resolution of 960 x 540 points), not the so capacious accumulator (2150 mAh against 2500 mAh at E5).[1]
