November 11, 2015. The ATK consulting group and shoe network Zenden announced end of the first stage of the project on Qlik Sense implementation. Within the project the detailed analytics on retail sales more than 200 shops of the company including control of KPI of outlets and efficiency of promotion actions was developed. The project according to the analytical Qlik Sense system in Zenden became the largest retail project in the territory of Russia and the CIS countries.
Choosing a Solution
The Zenden company felt the need for the business intelligence tool in connection with fast expansion of network. With growth of the company not only the accumulated data arrays, but also quantity of points of control, number of the employees needing exact and operational data for decision making increased. All this led to increase in amount of requests for development and upgrade of reports, increase in labor costs at processing and a research of data that, in turn, did necessary growth of the staff of analysts and programmers. Therefore in 2015 the company management made the decision on system implementation of BI for obtaining the operational analytical reporting by the staff of the company, including remote.
Project Progress
Zenden considered several suppliers of the analytical systems.
The analysis of retail sales for 2.5 years, the including KPI on outlets in dynamics, like-for-like of comparison of shops and traffic of buyers became a problem of the first phase of the project on Qlik Sense completed by specialists of ATK consulting group. Besides the application includes the detailed analysis of an assortment matrix taking into account dynamics of sales on the dimensional hill, price intervals, the index of penetration and influence of discounts and promotion actions for sales. Specialists of ATK consulting group provided training of analysts of the company for the most effective use of the Qlik Sense applications – independent customization of an applications interface, creation of own analytical reports and representations in the Data Storytelling format.
Development Plans
In the near future Zenden is going to develop functionality of Qlik Sense and to create the application according to the analysis of merchandising and additional deshborda. At the same time access to the application will appear at department of logistics and area managers of retail network. In strategic perspective of Zenden is going to transfer the reporting of all divisions of the company to Qlik Sense, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.
"First of all, when choosing a BI system we were interested in quality of data visualization, simplicity of implementation and use of a system to optimize IT costs for user support of analytics. We wanted to start analytical "self-service' when our business users, but not IT specialists, are able easily and quickly to create necessary data visualizations and own reports. Then the ATK consulting group suggested us to test Qlik Sense and implemented a pilot project which convinced us of the choice of this tool of analytics", ─ Alexander Sarychev, the managing partner, the director of retail network Zenden comments on selection process of the solution.
