History

1993-1996

Due to the replacement of the former direction of the researches "Creation of the Uniform Soviet People" with the new direction "People of Russia: revival and development" were defined new tasks of each department of Institute of Language, Literature and History. - historians, philologists, art critics, philosophers creation of the most adequate and complete history of the Tatar people according to the new concept was considered as the general task of all departments. Opening of native ethnic roots of bulgaro-Tatar of the skifo-Sarmatian, alano-assky, gunnsky, Turkic, hazaro-Bulgar periods was big achievement; history of our people of the period of the Golden Horde, the Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberian, Kasimovsky khanates and also as a part of the Russian state was in a new way lit. The ideology of creation of the uniform Soviet people was replaced with the direction of revival, preserving and development of the Tatar people. Particular importance was attached to illumination of history of Tatars of all modern regions. The first intermediate results were published in the book "Materials on Stories of the Tatar People" (Kazan, 1995. - 496 pages). Also other similar works were prepared.

At first as a part of RAS, then under jurisdiction of ANT the number of research associates of Institute with 130 was brought to 215, acceptance in a postgraduate study increased three times, the real possibility of creation based on Institute of Language, Literature and History of new independent institutes appeared. So, in 1993 based on department of the Tatar encyclopedia Institute of Language, Literature and History the new institute - Institute of the Tatar encyclopedia, and in 1996 based on five departments - Institute of history was created. The basic Institute of language, literature and history (Institute of Language, Literature and History) began to be called Institute of language, literature and art (IYaLI) of G. Ibragimov. There is a plan of selection from Institute of Language, Literature and History and other institutes of a humanitarian profile. At Institute council for protection of doctoral and master's theses for language, literature and folklore of the people of the Russian Federation functions.

1988

Since 1988 the leaders of the Republic to Institute of Language, Literature and History assigned a problem of coordination of the humanitarian researches conducted in universities and scientific research institute of Tatarstan and also researches on problems of the Tatar people in other republics, even in foreign countries. This republican coordination council worked under the chairmanship of the director of Institute of Language, Literature and History M.Z. Zakiyev; in its 10 industry councils researches about 500 scientists - humanists were coordinated. Traditions of work of republican coordination council then were continued by department of the humanities of ANT. The question of construction of the new building for Institute of Language, Literature and History remained unresolved, the management of capital construction of Academy of Sciences of the USSR could not allocate funds. However for expansion of working areas of Institute of Language, Literature and History two small buildings were transferred to Kremlevskaya St. where after a big overhaul departments of archeology, manuscripts and textual criticism with the storages and also objects of a hozobsluzhivaniye of Institute were placed.

1986

In July, 1986 the Institute received 1 category, and in a year was transferred to a separate balance that meant acquisition of financial independence. It gave the chance to separate the following multi-profile departments: department of linguistics - on department of linguistics and department of a lexicology and lexicography; department of archeology and ethnography - on department of archeology and department of ethnography; department of literary criticism - on department of literary criticism and department of manuscripts and textual criticism. In 1988 at KNTs RAS and Institute of Language, Literature and History the new department of economy began to function. In 1990 at Institute the department of the code of historical and cultural monuments and also department of the Tatar encyclopedia were created.

1967-1975

In 1967 the Institute of Language, Literature and History is appropriated a name of the classic of the Tatar literature, the prominent scientist and public figure Galimdzhan Ibragimov.

Before the Great Patriotic War in Institute of Language, Literature and History 5 sectors functioned: literatures, folklore, Tatar, Russian and history. In 1961 from the sector of history the sector of archeology and ethnography is selected, in 1968 the sector of Art Studies, and in 1975 - the sector of history of social thought is created.

From the beginning of reorganization the leadership of Tatarstan pays special attention to reorganization in the research organization for the humanities. Plans of further development of Institute of Language, Literature and History are developed. Creation based on Institute of Language, Literature and History of new humanitarian institutes on a sample of similar institutes in federal republics, creation is supposed at Institute of Language, Literature and History of republican coordination council on humanitarian and social sciences.

1946

In January, 1946 in connection with formation of the Kazan Institute branch Academy of Sciences of the USSR (KFAN USSR) is its part and becomes Academy of Sciences of the USSR scientific institution, and since 1992 - the Russian Academy of Sciences. At the beginning of 1993 the Institute of language, literature and history passes under jurisdiction of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan organized at the end of 1991 - the beginning of 1992 of Academy of Sciences of the USSR always considered humanitarian institutes of autonomous republics second-grade and, judging by compensation of research associates, referred them to the II category. Besides in 1964 the directorate of Institute of Language, Literature and History in order to avoid economic difficulties refuses to take on the balance the building of KFAN USSR which is transferred to fixed assets of physics and technology institute and with respect thereto the Institute of Language, Literature and History voluntarily passes to balance of this institute.

1939: Creation of institute

In the II half of XIX and the beginning of the 20th centuries of a research of humanitarian problems of local edge were carried out generally at the Kazan university, and in process of opening of other educational institutions in Kazan, Ufa, Orenburg, etc. the cities - and to them.

Due to the formation in May, 1920 of the Tatar Republic of a research considerably extend, are beyond higher education institutions, special research societies and the centers will be organized. The Academic center formed at Narkompros of Tatarstan in 1921 was the most considerable of them. The scientists integrated around this center published the magazines "Vestnik Nauchnogo Obshchestva Tatarovedeniya", "Tatarstan", monographs, textbooks and manuals.

In 1929 the leaders of the republic recognize need of creation of the Tatar scientific research institute who was fated to open only in 10 years - in October, 1939 in the form of scientific research institute of language and literature at Council of People's Commissars of Tatarstan. Soon research problems of problems of history of the Tatar people and local edge also were assigned to it. So, since February, 1941 the Institute acquired the status of the Tatar scientific research institute of language, literature and history.
