Implementation of WMS Logistics Vision Suite in the multitemperaturony warehouse MX Logistics

November 25, 2015. The MX Logistics company announced^[1] implementation of the project on automation of a warehouse based on WMS Logistics Vision Suite.

Project Progress

Within services of safe custody the MX Lodzhistik renders services: ̶ Acceptance/shipment of products ̶ Safe custody ̶ Selection and a complete set of orders at the request of the customer for delivery to outlets and to wholesale buyers ̶ CROSS-DOCKING ̶ PICK BY LINE ̶ Formation of a complete document package at receipt and shipment of products from a warehouse ̶ Report generation on the movement and a remaining balance of goods in a warehouse ̶ Processing of defective goods ̶ Insurance The great value in the company is given to quick reaction on requests of clients and for need as fast as possible and it is reliable to deliver freights from a warehouse to customers. In connection with the high requirements, shown to processes of the organization of logistic business, the company made a choice for benefit of WMS Logistics Vision Suite.

In implementation process of the project work on setup and system implementation of management of the warehouse LogisticsVisionSuite on 20 jobs was done, automation of all warehouse transactions of a multitemperature warehouse complex was result of work. Considering specialization of the automated object, setup of processes of acceptance and placement of goods was executed with strict accounting of temperature conditions of storage that is reached due to use of buffer cells. Selection processes and shipments of goods are executed with observance of the FIFO, FEFO methods, the module of batch print is implemented, work with weight goods, with different types of packagings, including a bucket, a bag is implemented. Narrow-passage Jungheinrich pilers which software is integrated with the warehouse management system LogisticsVisionSuite work at a warehouse. WMS manages operation of the warehouse equipment, rationally distributes tasks, sends the loader to the pre-determined location where the equipment removes the necessary pallet and then moves to the set point. LogisticsVisionSuite provides full control over all business processes online. The customer can always see products remaining balance in a warehouse from the corporate system at any time. In a warehouse of the operator in all zones the intelligent system of an electric lighting which lights only a piler route on the way of transaction accomplishment is installed. This task is reached due to integration of WMSLogisticsVisionSuite and a system by management of light. This function allows to reduce heat generated when lighting cameras.

As a management system for the yard the module LVS - LogisticsVisionYard which manages processes and vehicles in the territory of a warehouse complex is implemented. In the course of system implementation personnel the customer passed several grade levels to work and the WMSLVS settings.

Uniqueness of the project

• In implementation process of the project was multitemperature condition of work of a warehouse complex is considered, it was reached due to use buffer cells.
• Integration of WMS with an intelligent system of lighting
• Integration of WMS into the warehouse equipment.

As a result the implemented warehouse management system at the same time manages movement by the warehouse equipment and work as a lighting system, i.e. according to the issued tasks the piler in the automatic mode goes and lifts a pitchfork to the necessary cell, lighting joins in those zones where work is conducted.

Implementation Results

Business process automation allowed the customer to achieve the high speed of accomplishment of warehouse transactions, to reduce influence of a human factor. One of the major tasks delivered before start of implementation of WMS LVS was reached. The customer notes the achieved results of implementation as one of the advantages in a complex of the offered services.
